INTRODUCING KENWORTH'S ZERO EMISSION, CLASS 8 FUEL CELL ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Leveraging the success from the ZANZEFF "Shore to Store" pilot program, the Kenworth and Toyota collaboration is taking the next step, with a production intent hydrogen fuel cell class 8 tractor. Kenworth integrated Toyota’s latest advancements in hydrogen fuel cell technology into its flagship T680 on-highway truck. The T680 FCEV has a range of up to 450 miles, giving sustainable fleets a new option for regional applications. The T680 FCEV stores the majority of its energy onboard as compressed hydrogen gas, allowing for smaller batteries and making it an ideal solution for weight sensitive operators.

PROVEN PRODUCT
Last year, Kenworth and Toyota completed a joint pilot program at the Port of Los Angeles, where Kenworth customers operated 10 prototype T680 FCEVs in a real-world setting. The program’s success laid the foundation for Kenworth and Toyota engineers to develop a T680 FCEV.
