Kenworth employees gathered for a brief ceremony to see the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The 74-foot Lutz spruce was cut Oct. 27 in Alaska; traveled by ship to the Port of Tacoma (Wash.), and kicked off its 3,000–mile, cross-country journey by truck following a celebration at Seattle’s Museum of Science & Industry (MOHAI).

“Kenworth’s Chillicothe employees really enjoyed seeing the Kenworth T680 they built return with the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. It’s quite an honor for Kenworth and our employees to play an important role in the Christmas celebration of our nation’s capital,” said Judy McTigue, Kenworth-Chillicothe plant manager.
