2023 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on November 28, 2023. Werner Enterprises drivers, Tim Dean and Jesus Davila, transported the 2023 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree in a Kenworth T680 Signature Edition from its harvest site in West Virginia to the U.S. Capitol during a 15-day tour that included 19 tour stops in communities along the way.
Werner Enterprises husband-and-wife team, Gina and Steve Jones, assisted with transporting small Christmas trees and tree ornaments to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The Jones’ currently drive a military-themed wrapped Kenworth T680 Signature Edition.
Monongahela National Forest's 63-Foot Norwary Spruce Adorns the U.S. Capitol's West Lawn
For the past 10 years, Kenworth has been a major sponsor of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree program, supplying trucks to haul the special tree each holiday season.
