2022 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Harvested Nov. 2, T680 Next Gen To Transport to Washington, D.C.
PISGAH NATIONAL FOREST, N.C. - The 2022 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, a 78-foot red spruce called “Ruby,” was harvested yesterday, Nov. 2., from the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina.

The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Tour will begin on Saturday, Nov. 5., and will feature several public community celebrations as the tree makes its way to the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. This year, a specially-decaled Kenworth T680 Next Generation driven by Ed Kingdon, Jr and Deb Kingdon of North Carolina-based carrier Hardy Brothers Trucking will transport “Ruby” from the Pisgah National Forest to Washington, D.C.
